Miscarriage support: Facing a difficult time together

The loss of a pregnancy often brings a rollercoaster of emotions: sadness, anger, and confusion. We understand how deeply this can impact both you and your partner. This can turn your world upside down. We're here to support, listen, and guide you, allowing you the space to process what has happened in your own way.

Always available

Up to 10 to 15 percent of pregnancies end in miscarriage. Our aim is to ensure you receive the help and support you need right away during this difficult time. That’s why you can always contact the midwife on duty directly , who is available 24/7 via our on-call / emergency number. Even if you’re not yet registered with us yet, feel free to call. Evening or weekend? Don’t hesitate to call right away instead of waiting until the next working day – we’re here to help you anytime.

Medical guidance

During a miscarriage, we ensure you have a clear understanding of what is happening and what steps you can take. We explain the type of miscarriage you are going through and discuss the options you have, whether for a natural progression or with medicines. If necessary, we’ll schedule an ultrasound to confirm whether the miscarriage is “completed.” In cases of complications, such as fever or heavy bleeding, we make sure you receive immediate care from us. If a gynaecologist is needed, we will handle the referral and schedule the appointment for you.

Emotional Support

We recognise that this can be an emotionally challenging time, and we encourage you to share your feelings. We’re here to listen to your story and take the time to answer your questions and discuss your concerns. If you would like further support at a later stage for a new pregnancy, we can schedule a preconception consultation to help you prepare. Need more specialised help? We can refer you to healthcare providers who specialise in emotional or psychological care.
